Celtic 3–0 Livingston: Patience Brings a Comfortable Win

Celtic eased to a 3–0 win over Livingston at Celtic Park, though it took until the second half for the goals to flow. A slow start gave the visitors some encouragement, but once the breakthrough came, Celtic’s quality told and the result was never in doubt.

A Slower Opening Forty-Five

With heavy rotation from midweek, the first half was always likely to be disjointed. Celtic had the ball almost exclusively, but struggled to quicken the tempo or find space in behind Livingston’s low block. A couple of half-chances arrived, yet the overall play was too predictable to seriously trouble the visitors before the break.

Second-Half Shift

The deadlock was finally broken shortly after half-time, and from there Celtic looked far more comfortable. Forced to open up, Livingston couldn’t live with the pace and movement, and two further goals put the result beyond any doubt. By full-time, it was the routine win supporters would have hoped for.

Depth Still an Issue

Even in victory, some familiar themes linger. The attack continues to look light on reliable options, with too few players capable of raising the tempo or producing something different when games are tight. Across the squad there remains a need for more quality, especially in the final third, to match the demands of both domestic and European campaigns.

Conclusion: Three Points, More to Improve

This was a solid, professional performance from Celtic, who got the job done without ever needing to hit top gear. The clean sheet and three goals will build confidence, but the sense remains that greater quality in key areas will be required as the season progresses.

Celtic 3–0 Livingston. Routine, deserved, but still room to grow.
